We seem to be talking about ‘Moms’ a lot this week – but, they are very important to all of us; so, happy moms are always a relevant subject. Since we have covered tummy tucks and facial care – let’s talk about the body part that has the potential to ‘be of concern’, when discussing childbirth.
Assuming that a C-section wasn’t in the cards – or, even if it was, and mom kind of wanted a new one…before having her new baby; vaginal rejuvenation is an option to regain (or gain) ‘a new vagina’.
Vaginal Rejuvenation is different from Labiaplasty, in that it ‘places function over form’ – repairing torn, stressed or not-as-tight-as-we-would-like tissues on the inner portion of the vagina. It does not address the outer aesthetics of the labia (lips). Sometimes the two surgeries are desired, together; but, Vaginal Rejuvenation targets the way the vagina works, and increasing pleasure or repairing a hymen (for religious / cultural purposes).
Age, use and childbirth can leave the muscles and soft tissue of the vagina with a loss of elasticity, sensation and / or pleasure. Surgery to tighten and repair the area can lead to more self-confidence for mom, and more pleasure for mom AND dad, after baby is asleep : ).
In a cute, funny and well-written article – one woman gave this enthusiastic account of her happiness with the decision to undergo Vaginal Rejuvenation: “I just recently picked up a new vagina. It’s brand new, shiny, and never been tested by man. You think I’m kidding, but it’s true: One week ago today, along with other repair surgeries, I had a vaginal reconstruction. I’m 37, but in more ways than one I feel like a new woman, a virtual born-again virgin.” But, don’t just take her word for it – discuss the option of ‘going to the Vagina Store’ and picking out a new one with a reputable surgeon in your area!
