There are only a few more shopping weeks for the holiday season, and a new type of present to purchase is a plastic surgeon procedure. Dr. Andrew Miller, a plastic surgeon in practicing in New Jersey with Associates in Plastic Surgery, suggests patients make appointments to have treatments and recover in time for holiday festivities, gatherings and parties.
Herald Online posted the story about Dr. Miller’s tips for customers to look good for the holidays. He believes that getting a head start on the procedures is a good way to get the best results.
“People who have been considering cosmetic work, whether invasive or noninvasive, the best time to do it is now, as there is enough time to recover before their first holiday party,” he said, adding that it is the best gift you can give yourself.”
These options include fillers like Botox to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, facial procedures like rhinoplasty and eyelid surgeries, body operations like breast augmentation and liposuction, and chemical peels. Surgical consultations are recommended for determining the best course of action.
Dr. Miller stresses that timing is important for the procedures. “For noninvasive procedures, patients can come in the week of their holiday party. However, for peels and lasers, multiple treatments are typically required so patients should come in a few weeks before their event.”
