Privacy is very important to patients who seek consultations and procedures from cosmetic and plastic surgeons. Often, when patients have procedures, they sign waivers to have their images posted, anonymously or otherwise. It is important for surgeons to discuss privacy issues with patients in advance of posting their “before and after” photo images to avoid liabilities. In the case of Dr. Michele Koo, this became a legal issue when she did not follow the protocols.
Several patients who found their topless before and after breast augmentation images online are suing Dr. Michele Koo, a surgeon in Kirkwood, Missouri for uploading their photos as part of a before and after image gallery. Dr. Michele Koo, did not receive consent from her patients prior to posting the images. Dr. McNemar, a Board Certified, California plastic surgeon who is a co-author “Your Complete Guide to Breast Augmentation & Body Contouring” shares his concerns for women considering “lunchtime boob job: procedures. There are risks associated with the filler substance Macrolane, used in this non-surgical procedure, and he suggests that FDA approved implants offer more flexibility than other options for adding volume to the breasts. “With the wide variety of implant sizes and shapes available, we can achieve beautiful, proportional augmentation that complements a woman’s figure, no matter what her body type.”
Have you tried oils, creams, exercises or other means to enhance your bust size because you can’t afford to pay for plastic surgery, up-front? Voluntary surgery is expensive…we get it. There is a reason for that. Do you know that the average cosmetic surgeon goes to school for at least 14 years – and is constantly training in new technology and techniques? They need to be part surgeon, part artist, part engineer and part psychologist to do their job properly. So, if you can’t afford the boob job that you desperately want…PLEASE do not look for a “cut-rate surgeon”. There ARE options and financing available for reputable, highly-trained, board-certified experts in cosmetic surgery. You can have your cake…and money left over to shop for it : ).
How unique – a mother and daughter both had boob jobs together. Maybe that isn’t such a bad idea! Girls love to do so many things together, this could be one of them. Most of us know at least one other person who is contemplating breast augmentation – why not team up and go through the process together? Having a ‘Boob Buddy’ would be a built-in support system…and a fun shopping partner when it’s time to show off the end results.
Lady Gaga is an icon for self-confidence, empowerment, loving yourself and creating an image. So, when she stepped out lately, looking ‘larger-than-life’ in her chest region, it sparked speculation at to whether she was ‘Born this Way’, or…had a boob job? Why not? If she did, or didn’t – it is all about personal choice and what WE want our body to look like. You don’t have to be born with the perfect body – you just have to schedule an appointment with a board-certified plastic surgeon, to discuss the potential for a new bustline. You’re on the right track, baby!
We used to hear about it on the Howard Stern Show – women getting free boob jobs. But apparently there are plenty of sites and cyber philanthropists out there to supply women women who desperately want, and cannot afford, a new pair of breasts. This is an interesting use of the Internet for cosmetic surgery fulfillment.
Most women and men have seen many boob jobs. Breast surgeries are very popular, but good surgeons who are skilled and talented can give you fuller breasts that look natural, not canon balls that look fake. When it comes to breast augmentation, it is best to go for a more natural look. After all, you have to live with the results for years.
