Plastic surgeries, such as face lifts, breast enhancement and augmentation, nose lifts, and the like, have consistently remained popular in the US. As a matter of fact, the Association of Plastic Surgeons reported that there were 13.8 million operations conducted in the country in 2011 alone. The figure is said to be 5% higher than the reported cosmetic operations in 2010. Although breast surgeries still remain the most popular cosmetic operation, the number of people undergoing buttock enhancement procedure has been observed to be dramatically rising. According to reports, the number of people who underwent said enhancement procedure was higher this year by as much as 38% as compared to year 2010.
It is in this line that breast surgeries and rhytidectomy, more popularly known as facelifts, are said to be no longer the thing today. Both have been left behind by the newest most in-demand plastic surgery in California – the buttock enhancement procedure. Blame it on media and the hottest Hollywood stars of today for making people want to have the curvaceous butts of the likes of Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian. In this world today, having a well-endowed behind is the newest standard of sexiness and appeal.
One of the most popular buttock enhancement procedures is the S-Curve Buttock Lift, which is pioneered by Ghavami, an Iranian-American professor at the University of California Los Angeles. This procedure, which no longer used implants, entails removing some fats from another body part such as the tummy, arms, or thighs and then placing said fats to the buttocks – making them appear firmer, rounder, and more attractive. The cost of the procedure ranges from around $9,000 to $16,000. It is reported that people who undergo the procedure are mostly blacks and Latinos. The procedure is likewise very popular among the transgender and homosexuals in Los Angeles.
According to the popular plastic surgeon Ashkan Ghavami, the procedure involves a little pain. Ghavami who has his clinic in Beverly Hills 90210 was reported to have performed S-Curve Buttock Lift on 700 people already in four years alone. Ghavami explained that the S- Curve Buttock Lift involves two major processes: (1) liposuction wherein fats are sucked from the small incisions initially made and then washed thereafter and (2) injection wherein the fats previously sucked are now injected into the buttocks. He added that not only does one’s buttock become enhanced but the procedure actually improves his or her cellulites in the area.
Those who underwent the procedure, even those as young as 21 years old, reported that they were very happy with the results. They reported that they feel more confident with how they look as clothes fit them better after the procedure. Some said that the procedure has changed their life in a good way, improving their relationships with people, especially their boyfriends, partners, and husbands. Others said that they chose to go through the procedure because it is difficult to achieve the ideal appearance for their buttocks even with proper diet and exercise. Many of those who underwent the procedure are actually far from being overweight. Some said that they even had to gain weight in order to have more fats transferred to their buttocks. As a whole, most of those who underwent the procedure have no regrets and said that it was definitely worth it and regarded the procedure as a very good investment.
