Getting plastic surgery is a pricey and significant affair, and you want to be sure that your surgeon will do the best work possible. Patients Advised to Review Before and After Images: Dr. Camille Cash

American Banking News reports that before-and-after photos, usually posted on surgeon websites, helps you to see what procedures previous patients have undergone and how they turned out. Dr. Camille Cash, a plastic surgeon in Houston, stands by this belief, telling potential patients that they should be proactive in doing their research for qualified surgeons, and basing their decisions on the results that they like.

She states that a doctor’s word is not enough—adding that the proof is in the proverbial pudding. “Many plastic surgery practices will tell you that they do excellent work and tailor each procedure to the individual, because they know that’s what you want to hear.”

Dr. Cash says that she tells patients at consultations that they should take their time and points them to surgeons’ before-and-after pictures for treatments similar to the one they plan to have. She adds that a plastic surgeon without photos is a “red flag.”

Patients examining photos should seek out natural-looking end results, according to Dr. Cash. She says that the work should fit the patient’s precise body structure—particularly with breast augmentation pictures. She warns against surgeons that have similar-looking results, calling them “cookie-cutter operations.”

“These are your breasts we’re talking about; you want them to be uniquely yours and fit your body and your expectations,” said Cash.
