Anna Advena, a 23 year-old woman living in Beverly Hills California suffered a horrible act of domestic violence when held captive and beaten by her ex-boyfriend. During the four-hour incident, he caused permanent dis-figuration to her nose. Luckily she was rescued, not only on that day, but later by Dr. David Alessi who donated his time to reconstruct her nose through a non-profit organization called Face Forward, which helps victims of domestic abuse.
