Among the newer, popular cosmetic and plastic surgery procedures, ear pinning and augmentation, otherwise known as otoplasty, is gaining media attention. More people, including teens, are having ear surgery to avoid bullying and to change the appearance of ear abnormalities. In many cases surgeons alter the ear cartilage or inject dermal fillers to tighten and re-shape the tissue. This can also be a successful method to restore stretched tissue from ear gauging.
